Accomplishments

Its the end of the year and I thought would open a  space to reflect on personal accomplishments for the year. This could be a formal award or as personal breakthrough. What interesting things have happened in your building?

    FOMAHI congratulates our talented Junior Orchestra, Junior Band, Junior Jazz, and Treble Choir students on their outstanding achievements at the Music in the Park festival held last weekend at Wild Waves:

    Junior Orchestra:

    1st Place within their division

    1st Overall for Junior High Orchestras

    Junior Band:

    1st Place within their division

    1st Overall for Junior High Bands

    Junior Jazz:

    1st Place within their division

    1st Overall for Junior High Jazz Bands

    Treble Choir:

  2. Parents of gifted children are not at liberty to discuss their children's accomplishments. Sounds like bragging. I enjoyed this piece on the subject. We hold our tongues until we hear the code words.

  3. Shhh has it right. You can only tell family and friends--and even then, they'd better be close friends who are very understanding, which generally means friends who have gifted children themselves.

  4. Congrats to HIMS Junior orchestra, band, jazz and treble choir!

    I think it is inspiring to hear the great things kids are up to and I hope that more people will share positive news.
