Long-time APP teacher is ill

By request:
Marcy Shadow, APP teacher and advocate of 33 years, is ill in the hospital.

To brighten her spirits and let her know how much she means to us, I'd like to collect email messages that can be printed and read aloud to her.

If you can write a message to Marcy -- a hello, funny story, something you remember about Marcy or her class that touched you, good wishes -- please send it by e-mail to Stephanie Bower (stephanieabower@gmail.com) by this Wednesday, December 21 at noon.

All messages will be kept confidential, printed and delivered to Marcy's family.

It would be great to hear from any current or past students, families, colleagues.

Thanks so much for posting this message, Greg. I have received 31 messages so far, some from former students as far away as the east coast, some who had Marcy 20 and 25 years ago. The messages are amazing.
Marcy has influenced so many lives.

Please send emails ASAP, as I'll deliver them to Marcy's family right away.
Thanks again,
Stephanie

If anyone still wants to send a message to Marcy and her family,
please go ahead and write. I'll deliver a batch of nearly 70 (so far) on Thursday morning, and if more messages come in, I'll deliver those as well.
Thanks to all, the messages are truly beautiful and inspiring, this is a really good thing to do.

Yes, this is very sad news about Marcy. By all accounts she was a great and inspiring teacher. She was also a fundamental and founding member of the APP community. She will be greatly missed at Hamilton and beyond.
