Some parents have recently setup a new facebook group specifically for high school HCC discussions. I assume it will operate similarly to the elementary and middle school ones and should be of use to many of you. (Note: there usually is a verification process to join, make sure to accurately fill out any questions.)
If you interested sign up here: HCC High School Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1159951057475090
HCC Middle School Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/658956350817901
HCC Elementary Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SeattleHCCelementary/
If you have other groups you'd like to publicize (and have appropriate permission) I'm happy to add to the list.
As a side note, I think this blog plays a unique role given the many social media options and I hope others feel the same and keep coming here as well.

This blog is awesome and the more sources of information we have, the better.
I think this blog should also serve a roll in answering questions for people who are not qualified for one of the FB groups. For example, the middle school group says you need to be a middle school parent already, so for folks who have 5th graders and want to find out about middle school practices, this blog may be the only resource.
As a matter of fact, it may make sense to direct questions from people who are wanting to find out more about the program before enrolling to this blog, as most of the groups are closed to already enrolled families.

As someone who does not qualify for any of the FB groups, but has a interest in and an influence on HCC students, I thank you for all the work you do.
I don't do facebook anymore and I really appreciate the blogs even more now! Thank you!
I probably would qualify for the HCC facebook groups, but prefer this blog over any facebook discussion. Thank you as well!
I am not on FB, I am trying not to give FB all my data. This is a better forum. Thank you for your work.
I'm not sure how I missed this previously, but a late response is better than nothing.
If anyone from those fb groups is still reading this thread, why on earth would you have these discussions behind a fb wall? It's hard to even understand the motivation when this blog already exists and is open to everyone. I'm "qualified", and have a lot to contribute on the subject, and many years of experience in the program, but there is absolutely no way I will EVER create a fb account. For any reason. The company is disgusting, the stuff everyone is reading about in the media recently is only the tip of the iceberg.
I'm more adamant about this than most, but there are MANY people that do not and will not ever have fb accounts. You are losing those voices. Try a public, or semi-public blog.
Thanks Benjamin, for keeping this blog going.
